| 2. Northern Virginia Bird Club |
| The Northern Virginia Bird Club was founded in 1954 as the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Virginia Society of Ornithology. While we are still a chapter of the VSO, we have shortened our name. The Northern Virginia Bird Club celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2004. Bob Watson, one of the group founding the club in 1954, was recognized by being made a Director Emeritus. The Club maintains a website at www.nvabc.org, and an e-mail address nvabc@verizon.net. The quarterly newsletter, The Siskin, is a high quality publication containing articles of interest to local birders as well as a calendar of bird walks. |

| The Garden Club of Virginia is an active association of forty-seven garden clubs, whose members collectively form a group of more than 3,300 civic leaders from around the Commonwealth.Recognized for Historic Garden Week in Virginia, an annual statewide tour of gardens and homes, The Garden Club of Virginia funds Restorations of historic Virginia gardens and landscapes with proceeds and provides graduate-level Fellowships in landscape architecture. |

| 7. Virginia NATIVE Plant Society |
| The Virginia Native Plant Society (VNPS) was founded in 1982 as The Virginia Wildflower Preservation Society. It is a statewide organization with approximately 2000 members supported primarily by dues and contributions. Membership is open to anyone, amateur or professional. Its purpose is to further appreciation and conservation of Virginia's native plants and habitats. |
