| 51. Steve's Carnivorous Plants
|
| This site exists for two main reasons:1) To share knowledge - I am constantly experimenting with plants I've never grown before, and any useful hints or tips I pick up will be shared through these pages (see, for instance, the Nepenthes germination trial). I will also add any useful web links I stumble across in my browsing. The Internet, for all its faults, should at least mean that nobody has to re-invent the wheel.2) To share plants - amateur growers can make a real, tangible contribution to the conservation of the plants they grow by exchanging material, particularly material of known origin. Between us, we can act as a global "virtual botanic garden" of ex situ plant collections. Exchanging material also reduces the need for collecting from the wild. |
